A special evening dinner brought to you by Robert Chan and collaboration Chef Jonnie Sanchez from HeBrews catering. The featured rotisserie lamb dinner will include several tapas and a dessert. Mingle with friends and family at the beautiful organic Finca Tres Robles farm.
Robert Chan was born in Malacca, a city on the west coast of Malaysia. He was born into the Peranakan culture, the descendant of Chinese immigrants that arrived to the Malay Peninsula a few centuries ago. This culture blended together not only the Chinese foods, but also the Malay, Indian, British, Japanese, Dutch and Portuguese (Eurasian) recipes. These multi-cultural influences created a unique way of cooking also known as Nyonya cuisine.
Robert lived in Singapore for 9 years and took on all the inspirations from the Singaporean cuisine. Adding to that mixture of cultures, Robert moved to New Orleans in 1999 and then met his now wife, Sofia, who is from Spain. In his cooking and all his recipes, the influences from all these diverse cultures are blended and brought together to create unique and umami flavors that will capture your palate!
Dinner includes a welcome drink and is BYOB.
