Education is vital in working toward changing food culture and living a healthy lifestyle. We are continuing to build our curriculum, expand the variety, and increase the frequency of classes offered and hope to be an educational resource on all things food for the Houston community.
We offer classes on various topics including fermentation, baking, healthy cooking, rainwater harvesting, organic gardening, and much more. Classes at Finca Tres Robles are designed for all types of people, those new to growing, processing, and experimenting with food and more experienced students of food seeking to learn new techniques. We hope you can find a way to connect more closely with your food.
The classes below are not currently scheduled but are classes taught at Finca Tres Robles. Click the “Email me the next time this class is scheduled” button on the class page to be notified when a new session is posted.
Many of the classes we offer are available for private workshops. If you would like to schedule a private class on any of these topics you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to organize a session.
We are excited to be partnering with TXRX Labs, Houston’s largest hacker/maker space, to make these classes accessible to a broader audience. Class registration will take place through their website. Look for our logo to indicate which classes will be hosted at the farm. Together, we hope to expand the availability and increase the quality of food education in the city.
We offer and can organize private workshops on the farm for your friends, family, or organization to spend time together around food. Many of the classes we offer are available for exclusive farm events. Click below for more details.
