Salsa Verde

Serves: 2-4

Time ~25 minutes


1 pint tomatillos

1 clove garlic

¼ of an onion chopped

1 jalapeno

2 Tbl Chopped Cilantro

1Tbl Chopped Fresh Oregano

¼ tsp ground cumin

1 tsp salt to taste


  1. Place tomatillos, onion, garlic, and jalapeno into a saucepan. Season with cilantro, oregano, cumin, and salt; pour in water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the tomatillos are soft, 10 to 15 minutes.

  2. Using a blender, carefully puree the tomatillos and add water in batches until reach desired consistency.
